The internet has been a huge driving force in my personal and professional life for the past 3 years. I began my internet marketing career back in 2008 with a website that provided local businesses with a place to advertise to their customers. That website, with it’s focus on local businesses, was a huge success. It took me 3 years to realize that running a website wasn’t for me.
For the past several years I’ve been working with a well-known local business to develop a website for them that would allow them to provide customers with local information and local news, to promote their business and raise their online reputation. The local businesses I’ve worked with have been pretty awesome. I think because of how much they invest in their online reputation, they often get more business from customers than they could ever get from a traditional website.
That is true. Local businesses are still one of the most important components in driving local business to a website. Unfortunately, a few years ago I began working with a local business that had a website that was pretty terrible. The website was very generic, very inflexible, and very easy to navigate, and it got very little traffic. In the end, I realized that I needed a website that addressed the local business and local community in a way that made it easy to get started with.
In that process I found elocal marketing, which is a powerful method of driving local business to a website. The idea is simple. You create a website that contains a list of local businesses. On that website, you mention that it’s yours, that you own it, and that you have a business license. Then you make a call to action that’s specific to the local business and its local community.
I know a lot of people who want to make a website that includes their contact info, location, and even phone. If you’re in the business of doing a website, and that’s something that gets attention, you will get more attention. If you’re in the local business of doing a website, you’ll probably get more attention.
If you have a website, and you can be a little bold, you can get a lot of local press. Local newspapers are great sources of business and local news. You might even get a few local business licenses. If you work in a local business, youll likely have access to local press.
In our own business, we are constantly looking for ways to help our customers and get more business. We do this by creating websites for our partners.
